Non-Exempt Exchange Day Reporting
 
A non-exempt employee is an employee that must complete a time sheet for each work week throughout the school year.  Instructional Assistants, Administrative Assistants, and Clerical staff are all considered non-exempt employees.
 
To report your exchange day credit using Professional Development Hours:
  • Log in to Skyward Employee Access
  • Select Time Off, and submit a Professional Development Day - District.
  • In the Notes section indicate what is being used for your Exchange Day Credit.  
  • Upload a copy of your training certificate or proof of training into Eduphoria.  For assistance, please contact Education Services at gremmj@hpisd.org.
 
To report your exchange day credit using Compensation Hours:
  • Contact Human Resources at westb@hpisd.org before submitting your timesheet for the week including the exchange day.  A manual transaction will need to take place to ensure only 6 hours of compensation is used rather than your standard workday hours.
 
To report your exchange day credit using a combination of Compensation Hours and Professional Development Hours:
  • Contact Human Resources at westb@hpisd.org before submitting your timesheet for the week including the exchange day.  A manual transaction will need to take place to ensure only partial hours of compensation is used rather than your standard workday hours.
 
If you did not receive your Professional Development Hours or do not have compensation time:
