Scots are champions in the classroom and beyond.

  • The Class of 2021 earned more than $9 million in scholarships
  • The Class of 2021 completed more than 63,000 community service hours
  • The HPHS Academic Decathlon team won its fifth state title in six years at the 2021 State Championship Meet and placed second in the nation at the 2021 United States Academic Decathalon National competition
  • One choir student and five Highlander Band members earned Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-State honors
  • Highlander Band is ranked 2nd of all 250 5A marching bands in Texas and won the UIL State Marching Contest silver medal in 2019, the next state contest will be held in fall 2021
  • The Scots tennis team captured its fifth consecutive 5A state championship in 2020, HP's 21st time to win the state title and its 33rd consecutive trip to the state tournament
  • The Scots football team has won three 5A State Championships in the past five years
  • HPHS has a total of 123 state team UIL titles in academics and athletics since the school opened 99 years ago in 1922
