Dr. Jennifer Collins

Dr. Jennifer Collins joined Highland Park as the Assistant Superintendent for Education Services in August 2023. She oversees the Academy for Lifelong Learning, assessment and accountability, counselors, curriculum and instruction, ESL, special programs, and TAG.
 
Dr. Collins has almost three decades of educational experience in Texas public schools, serving as a middle school language arts teacher and curriculum leader. She spent 19 years in Leander ISD, a fast-growth school district in the Austin area, as a member of the Teaching and Learning team in several different capacities, including Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Executive Director for Elementary curriculum, and Reading Improvement & Dyslexia Coordinator. During her career, she has also served as the Director of Student Services in Northwest ISD.  
 
Dr. Collins earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education from East Texas Baptist University, her master's degree in curriculum and instruction from The University of Texas at Arlington, and her doctoral degree in educational leadership from Texas A&M University-Commerce. She holds both superintendent and principal certifications.
