hey there HP family on dr. Mike Rockwood and you are watching Rockwood remarks first I want to thank our community advisory committee for spending several months this semester analyzing our facility Capital Improvement and staffing needs in hpisd this committee was formed after we found unexpected yet critical repairs to the failing HVAC Chiller system at MIS and hpms the commit ultimately recommended a 130 to 140 million dollar bond package to address those and other immediate Capital Improvement needs the committee's recommendation would also make funds available to increase teacher salaries and it would not result the tax rate increase at this time the board is reviewing the recommendation if you'd like to learn more about the community advisory committee process just visit HP isd.org and look under the board section me while we like to give a big shout out to all the our student-athletes continuing their sporting careers at the Collegiate level we recently recognized nine student-athletes at our spring Signing Day congratulations to each of these Scott we cannot wait to see what they all do at the next level and Final I want to thank our amazing staff members in hpisd last month we celebrated employees with five to 45 years and hpisd we also distributed several employee Awards and we recognize all of our retirees if you see any of the honorees please congratulate them and thank them for their dedication and service to hpisd remember and hpisd we enter to learn and go for the sir
