hey there HP family I'm dr. Mike Rockwood and you're watching Rockwood remarks first up a huge congratulations to our Highland Park seniors who were just named Mash Merit commended students along with another 13 students were named National Merit semifinalists now commended students traditionally represent the top two to three percent of students Nationwide while semi-finals represent the top 1% learn more about each individual student and these amazing accomplishments please visit our website HP isd.org meanwhile we were so fortunate to welcome back hundreds of HP alumni at the annual golden Scott's reunions this special event is forgan by the high school alumni association for alumni who graduated at least fifty years ago this unique luncheon started in 1990 for making this year's event 29th celebration I think it goes without saying that we are already looking forward next year's great event and finally October is principal appreciation month in Highland Park ISD and we certainly cannot be successful without the time the effort and the energy that our wonderful principles provide each and every day if you I want to see any of our principals out and about this month please join me in thanking them for their service and their dedication to hpisd well that's it for this month Rockwood remarks remember and hpisd enter to learn and go forth to serve
