Fine Arts

“It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.”
– Albert Einstein
Mission Statement
Through the study of fine arts, students learn teamwork, leadership, diligence, patience, expression, and creativity. Fine Arts courses will create a collaborative culture that is inspiring and inclusive, provide exceptional experiences that are rooted in performance excellence, challenge students to discover and grow their creativity in innovative ways, and provide well rounded experiences that allow students to Enter to Learn, and Go Forth to Serve.
Students have the opportunity to experience and develop an understanding of the Fine Arts through their K-4 Campus Specials Programs and in 5th Grade Rotations. In 6th Grade, they are able to follow their interest by selecting band, choir, orchestra, theatre, or visual arts classes. In high school, students may continue to study and enjoy the fine arts as they participate in band, choir, orchestra, theatre, dance, speech/debate, or visual arts classes. Participation in fine arts classes provides not only a Fine Arts graduation credit, but a community within the school district.
