Academic Decathlon team aces regional meet, heads to state in March

The HPHS Academic Decathlon team brought home the first-place trophy from the Region X Meet Feb. 9, with a team score of 48,139 points. HP will advance to the state meet to be held March 8-10 in Frisco. 
 
Individual overall winners for each division included:
  • Lucas Francisco - First place overall, Scholastic Division
  • Jenny Feng - Third place overall, Scholastic Division 
  • Jules Heatley - Fourth place overall, Honor Division 
  • McKenna Jordan - Fifth place overall, Varsity Division
