Scots swimming and diving teams score at Regionals, advance to State Championship Meet

The HP Blue Wave boys swimming and diving team won the UIL 5A Region III Championship title Feb. 2 in Frisco and will advance to the State Championship Meet with three qualifying relay teams and six individual qualifiers. The meet will be held Feb. 15-16 at the Lee and Joe Jamail Swimming Center at the University of Texas in Austin.

The girls' team placed third at regionals and will send two relay teams and four individual qualifiers to the state meet.

"I thought all the athletes did such a great job competing this past weekend," Head Coach Jesse Cole said. "We had more than 35 best times from our performances. It's great to see all their hard work and dedication pay off."
