14 Fine Arts students earn All-State recognition

14 Highland Park High School students were honored with the highest recognition for high school musicians in the state. Five choir students, one member of the Highlander Strings Orchestra and a school-record eight Highlander Band members earned All-State honors from the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA).

These 14 students will attend a four-day, fun-filled TMEA Convention Feb. 14-17 in San Antonio where they will participate in clinics and rehearsals. The Texas All-State Choir and Band will perform in concert for the membership of TMEA and the public on Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center.
