Highland Park High School students have been recognized for their outstanding work in the 2025–2026 UIL Theatrical Design competition, earning multiple honors across several categories.
Senior Faith Mazzucchi was named a State Finalist in Marketing Design and will advance to the UIL Theatrical Design State Contest this May in Austin. Faith is one of only 15 students selected from all 5A schools in Texas to compete at the state level.
HPHS also had two students recognized as State Semi-Finalists (Exemplary) in Makeup Design, including senior Julia Kerr and junior Lauren Tharp.
Additional honors include junior Cadie Walsh, who received the Award of Distinguished Merit in Marketing Design. Sophomore CeCe Hoff earned the Award of Honor in Costume Design, and freshman Ben Abernathy received the Award of Honor in Set Design.
These recognitions highlight the creativity, technical skill, and dedication of HPHS students in theatrical design. Congratulations to all of these students on their achievements.
