Highland Park High School Earns 2025 AP School Honor Roll Platinum Distinction

Highland Park ISD is proud to announce that Highland Park High School has been named to the 2025 AP School Honor Roll at the Platinum Level, the highest recognition awarded by the College Board’s Advanced Placement® Program.

The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools that create a strong college-going culture while expanding access to Advanced Placement coursework and helping students earn college credit. Schools are evaluated annually across three key performance metrics: College Culture, College Credit, and College Optimization.

HPHS significantly exceeded all Platinum benchmarks:
🔹 College Culture: 90% of graduates took at least one AP exam (Platinum Criteria = 80%)
🔹 College Credit: 82% earned a score of 3 or higher (Platinum Criteria = 50%)
🔹 College Optimization: 60% took 5+ AP exams, including one by 9th or 10th grade (Platinum Criteria = 15%)

This national recognition, which includes public and private schools, reflects the dedication of our students, teachers, and campus leaders, and a strong culture of academic excellence at HPHS. Go Scots!
