Lauren Cothran is a master educator who sets high expectations for her students and strives to enrich learning every single day. She knows her students' needs both academically and socially and works tirelessly to meet those needs.
When Hyer Principal Debbie Burt was asked what makes Cothran an outstanding educator, Burt said, “Her teaching style is all about making the learning experience interactive, engaging, as well as providing a supportive and loving environment.
When you visit her classroom you will see happy students enthusiastically learning in different ways.”
School did not always come easy for Cothran. She says it is thanks to the passionate and dedicated teachers in her life that helped her find success in her educational journey.
“Teaching young minds to grow and thrive makes me the happiest person in the world,” Cothran said. “I want to make a positive impact with my students, that will stay with them for a lifetime. It is my passion and my love for students and their education that will never change.”
