The district’s eight Teachers of the Year were honored at Convocation. Each receives a monetary award through the generosity of the HP Education Foundation and La Fiesta de las Seis Banderas. Beginning next week, HPISD E-News will feature a video tribute of one teacher per week.
This year’s Teacher of the Year honorees are:

- Jennifer Gleaton, Bradfield
- David Estrada, Boone
- Lauren Cothran, Hyer
- Amanda Anderson, University Park
- Caroline Wooley, McCulloch Intermediate
- Jill Bellomy, Highland Park Middle School
- Jeff Barrows, Highland Park High School
Armstrong Elementary teacher Tatiana Zvolanek and HPHS teacher Jeff Barrows represented HPISD in the Region 10 Teacher of the Year program earlier this summer.
