HPISD Receives “A” Rating from Texas Education Agency

 
 
Highland Park ISD received an A Rating with a score of 98 from the Texas Education Agency as part of 2022 accountability ratings released Monday, Aug. 15. The rating system is based on a letter grade ranging from A to F based on a number grade of 1 to 100. HPISD’s score is the highest the district has achieved since the beginning of the A-F rankings in 2017-18.
 
The ratings for districts and campuses are the first to be issued since 2019 due to two years of COVID-related pauses. Campus ratings were the following:        
 
 
 
 
 
Accountability ratings are based on three areas: Student Achievement, School Progress and Closing the Gaps. All HPISD schools scored a 93 or above on the Student Achievement category.
 
“The state accountability rating is one of many indicators of how our schools are performing,” HPISD Superintendent Dr. Tom Trigg said. “We are always looking at multiple measures to determine appropriate ways to ensure continuous improvement.”
