Dr. Kevin Hunt to lead HPMS as Principal

He previously taught high school physics and chemistry, and English Language Arts at the middle and high school levels.

Dr. Hunt earned a bachelor's degree in biology with chemistry and English minors from Texas Christian University, and returned to TCU later in his career to earn a master's in secondary education and a doctorate in educational leadership and school administration.

"It is an honor and a privilege to serve Highland Park ISD students and I'm excited to work with the HPMS staff, students, parents and community," Dr. Hunt said. "I believe that an effective campus leader is focused on instructional leadership that encourages student achievement, which aligns with HPISD'S history of excellence in academics, arts and athletics."

"I am excited to welcome Dr. Hunt to the HPISD administrative team," Superintendent Dr. Tom Trigg said. "His high expectations for academic rigor will continue to promote a positive school culture at HPMS, and his ability to develop positive relationships will contribute to a campus climate that fosters a love of learning where students thrive."

Dr. Hunt is married to Danielle Hunt, who has been an elementary teacher in Fort Worth ISD for more than 20 years. They are the proud parents of Abigale, a theatre and dance productions student at Texas Wesleyan, and Sam, a rising junior at Burleson High School.
