Scots gymnastics team has best state finish in 26 years
The Scots gymnastics team finished sixth at the Texas High School Gymnastics Coaches Association State Championship Meet May 1, the team's best state finish since 1995.
Sophomore Clay Staunton won six of seven events, including the All-Around, and placed second on Parallel Bars.
Freshman John Sartain posted his best All-Around score of the season and finished 21st All-Around.

Lady Scots gymnasts post top-10 score at state meet
The Lady Scots gymnastics team took eighth place at the THSGCA state meet April 30.
The team was led by:
- Freshman Ana Simpson who finished in a tie for 14th place on Vault and placed 24th on Bars, 37th on Beam, 28th on Floor and 17th All-Around.
- Junior Captain Kennedy Downing who tied with her teammate for 14th place on Vault and placed 45th on Bars, 35th on Beam, 25th on Floor and 20th All-Around.
- Freshman Lily Ford who finished 54th on Vault, 52nd on Bars, 12th on Beam, 22nd on Floor and 23rd All-Around.
