Governor Abbott Proclaims February 2024 As Black History Month In Texas

"Diversity adds to the spirit and vitality of our great state . . . Each year, the month of February is set aside to honor the sacrifices, tribulations, and triumphs that define African American history. . . . At this time, I encourage all Texans to take pride in our rich tapestry of community and to strengthen the bonds that unite us as one indivisible nation. Therefore, I, Greg Abbott, Governor of Texas, do hereby proclaim February 2024 to be Black History Month in Texas and urge all Texans to observe the occasion with appropriate ceremonies and activities."
