Meet Bradfield Teacher of the Year - Jennifer Gleaton

Last year, Bradfield's Jennifer Gleaton transitioned from being a third grade homeroom teacher to Bradfield’s science teacher. She spends countless hours creating meaningful and engaging experiences for her students, all while maintaining a fun and contagious attitude.

When asking Bradfield Principal Regina Dumar as to what makes Gleaton shine, Regina said “Even though her title may have changed, her passion to engage and encourage students has stayed the same. She spends countless hours creating meaningful and engaging experiences for her students, all while maintaining a fun and contagious attitude.”

Stepping into the new role after so many years as a homeroom teacher proved to be new a challenge for Gleaton. Despite the change, Gleaton found that being a science lab teacher truly opens up a world of wonder.

“My teaching style this year can be best described as project based learning,” said Gleaton. “Hands on experiments and steam challenges have truly made our learning objectives engaging. We get messy, we learn together, we laugh together, and we dance and sing together.”

Congratulations to Jennifer Gleaton for being named the 2022-23 Bradfield Teacher of the Year.
