HPISD COVID cases webpage launched

Highland Park ISD created a public webpage to provide staff and community members with timely and transparent information related to HPISD lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases. Reported cases will be communicated via email directly to staff members and parents at each affected campus. Numbers will also be posted to the webpage when HPISD is notified of lab-confirmed cases.

Reported numbers are updated daily to represent cumulative data reported to the district since Aug. 20, 2020. They involve Highland Park ISD students and staff members participating in on-campus activities and in-person learning. Numbers do not include remote learners who are not participating in extra-curricular activities.

Highland Park ISD reports all positive cases to the Dallas County Health & Human Services Department and relies on their guidance and recommendations regarding self-isolation and quarantine requirements for anyone they deem as “close contacts.” Because of privacy requirements, the district will not disclose identifiable details about any individuals. Limited facts that the district can release to the general public are available via links on the webpage for COVID cases.
