The guest speaker was Daron Roberts, former NFL and college football coach and the founding director of the Center for Sports Leadership & Innovation at the University of Texas. The mission statement for the campaign, Race to End Racism, is to solve the ongoing issue of racism through the collaboration and sharing of ideas with a diverse group of students and to create a positive atmosphere for the future generations of our nation. Roberts will return to lead an HPHS school-wide assembly on self-worth and motivation Wednesday, April 22. See the above video to learn more about the event.
