Date Change: Comerica Bank chief economist to speak at inaugural Moody Innovation Institute Speaker Series Dec. 16

The Moody Innovation Institute (MII) has announced a date change for its first guest lecturer, Senior Vice President and Chief Economist at Comerica Bank Robert A. Dye, Ph.D.

Dr. Dye will speak with students, parents and community members at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16 at the Moody Advanced Professional Studies (MAPS) Center at Highland Park High School.

Dr. Dye leads the Comerica Economics Department, which provides research and analysis vital to Comerica and its customers, as well as business leaders and policymakers throughout the country.

He also holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering and is a nationally recognized artist. In a recent D Magazine article, he remarked, "It's all creative problem-solving. I think that being an artist has made me a better economist, and maybe being an economist might make me a better artist, too. There's not one part of my brain that's opposed to another part. "It's all the same stuff."

The Moody Innovation Institute is made possible by a grant from the Moody Foundation.
