Scottie Joe's

Scottie Joe's is a successful partnership between the 18+ Transition students and the MAPS Business Design and Leadership students.

Located on the third floor of the northwest addition of the High School, Scottie Joe's is a fully functional coffee shop.  It operates as an "independent business" and, whenever possible, returns profits to the partnering organizations to help continue their work.  Our 18+ student employee and advisors have the unique opportunity to participate in all aspects of running a business spanning operations, marketing, inventory, product selection, finance and accounting.

Ms. Jill Lewis oversees the management of Scottie Joe's along with assistance from a number of teachers and administrators from the 18+ Program, MAPS, and HPHS.

Manager, Scottie Joe's

Caroline Beverly is in her second year as manager of Scottie Joe’s.  An alumni of Armstrong, HPMS and Highland Park High School’s 18+ program, she is the first employee of Scottie Joe’s and the namesake of the monthly drink special “THE BEVERLY”.  Caroline oversees the cafe and works closely with MAPS staff and students, and with current 18+  students.  Her smiling face greets each customer and welcomes them to the wonderful world of Scottie Joe’s.  Caroline is also involved with Young Life as a peer and summer camp leader.
