Overview of Services:
 

TAG Services in Highland Park ISD seek to develop and nurture student potential, provide continuous opportunities for advanced performance, and advocate for students with gifted potential.

 

The state of Texas defines a gifted and talented student as one who performs at or shows the potential for performing at a remarkably high level of accomplishment when compared to others of the same age, experience, or environment and who:

  • exhibits high-performance capability in an intellectual, creative, or artistic area;
  • possesses an unusual capacity for leadership; or
  • excels in a specific academic field.

October 25, 2023 at 10am
December 5, 2023 1st and 3rd grade ability test results (with district recommendations) posted to Skyward
December 4, 2023-January 8, 2024 Window to register students for TAG Testing on district TAG Website
January 22-February 9, 2024 Elementary TAG Testing Window (1-4)
February 12-16 , 2024 Intermediate and Middle School Testing Window (5-8)
February 19-23, 2024 High School Testing Window (9-11)
End of April, 2024 TAG decision letters posted to Skyward
August, 2024 TAG Services (classes) begin
