Construction Updates

In November 2015, HPISD voters approved a $361 million bond proposal - the largest in the district's history. As a result of the election, the district has built its first new elementary school since 1948, will rebuild University Park, Bradfield and Hyer Elementary schools, and will renovate Armstrong Elementary, McCulloch Intermediate, Highland Park Middle School and Highland Park High School.

The next few years promise to be an exciting time for Highland Park ISD as it begins the process of transforming mid-20th-century schools into educational centers designed to empower young learners for the next century. HPISD is committed to transparency, and this webpage will serve as a clearinghouse to keep the community informed about the latest facility news and updates. This page and following subpages will continue to be updated as new information and documents become available, so please check back often.

Hyer Elementary School Rebuild: A camera is installed on the construction site to provide district staff, parents and community members an up-to-date look at the progress on Hyer. The camera takes a picture of the site approximately every 10 minutes.
