Moody Leadership Center
Mission Statement
The Moody Leadership Center empowers emerging leaders to develop the essential knowledge, character, agency, and skills to drive positive change.
Through an integrated approach, we prepare students to become balanced researchers, effective communicators, principled decision-makers, and ethical and socially responsible leaders who can inspire others to create a lasting impact.

Moody Leadership Scholars
The Moody Leadership Scholars Program brings together a select group of Moody Advanced Professional Studies (MAPS) students to enhance their capacity for leadership, to learn from others within the community and to apply their learning at Highland Park High School and beyond.
Moody Leadership Scholars (MLS) is a one academic year commitment for select students who are currently enrolled in MAPS. Space is limited so that participants will successfully complete this journey with the individual and personalized attention of both MAPS staff and volunteers. Students will engage in an experience-based curriculum that builds self-awareness, increases student critical thinking and communication abilities, fosters meaningful relationships and develops the confidence to lead successfully.
Moody Leadership Scholars applications are closed for the 26-27 school year. Candidates who progress to the second stage will be invited to interview. Finalists will be notified of their acceptance by HPISD email. Please reach out to Polly McKeithen with questions.
