Influenza/Flu

During flu season (October–March), campus nurses monitor flu-like illness among staff and students. Absentee percentages are reported weekly to the local Health Department. Nurses encourage good health habits, cough etiquette, and hand hygiene to reduce the spread of germs.

If your child shows symptoms of the flu, please keep them home until fever, vomiting, or diarrhea has subsided for 24 hours without medication. Please report symptoms to the school nurse or attendance clerk.

Together, we can keep our Scots healthy!
