Mission
The Highland Park ISD Assessment Department is committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement by providing accurate, meaningful, and timely data that informs instruction, supports a well-rounded education, and promotes excellence. We partner with educators, students, families, and the community to build assessment literacy and empower data-informed decision-making that enhances teaching and learning.
Vision
The Highland Park ISD Assessment Department will be a model for excellence in educational assessment by ensuring that every data point promotes an unrivaled and well-rounded education in Highland Park ISD.
The Office of Assessment & Accountability is responsible for the collection, validation, and reporting of all assessment, student, and staff data as it relates to academic instruction, state reporting, and administrative decision-making. The office includes the following functional areas:

Assessment facilitates the security, administration, and processing of local, state, and federally-mandated assessment programs.

Accountability provides campus and district leaders with student performance data to gauge progress; inform decision-making; and target assistance for students, teachers, and schools.

Research & Evaluation designs and conducts formative and summative program evaluations with program staff throughout the district.

Compliance / Reporting monitors the legal reporting requirements for the state and federal accountability systems at the campus and district levels.

Data Analysis collects, analyzes, and reports a variety of data for district and campus leadership to guide district and campus planning.
