Frequently Asked Questions
My cell phone is correctly listed in Skyward. How do I opt into the service?
You can opt in at any time by texting the word “YES” to 67587. This is the nationwide code used by SchoolMessenger.
Please note: Parents whose children previously attended another school district or private school that also used SchoolMessenger may already be opted in and ready to receive messages from HPISD, as long as their phone number is correctly listed in Skyward.
I texted “YES” to 67587, but I received an error message back. What does that mean?
Highland Park ISD uses SchoolMessenger, a nationwide company that sends text alerts using “shortcode” messaging. Some cell phone plans do not automatically allow shortcode messaging. Please contact your wireless provider and ask them to enable shortcode messaging on your account. Once enabled, text “YES” again to 67587. You should then receive a confirmation text reply.
