So I grew up in the district. I've been here since kindergarten and in your kindergarten year, you come to school on your first day and the seniors come in with t-shirts with the class year of graduation. I had the chance to go back to Bradfield where I went to elementary school and give out t-shirts to kids sitting in the same spot that I was, when I was in kindergarten.

The person that's going to impact me the most long-term is Mrs. Leediker. I took AP biology my sophomore year and in the first three weeks in her class, I fell in love with the subject. I want to study it for the rest of my academic career.

"I remember Field from sophomore biology as the most enthusiastic student in the class. I think the kind of student at Highland Park that attracts teachers here and keeps teachers here are kids like Field. Who is fun to teach."

I'm also part of the Community Service Council here at the high school as the technology chair. Every year we do Make a Difference Day. This year at the Voice of Hope, which is serving the children of South Dallas in a Christian environment and after school program. Highland Park High School's motto is enter to learn, go forth to serve. And I really feel that I have entered to learn and I've learned a lot while I've been here. And I feel like through my education I will be able to go forth and serve this district. It has left me a very good foundation for the future.
