Hyer Elementary COVID Cases

Anyone within the Hyer Elementary School community who is lab-confirmed to have COVID-19 should notify Hyer school nurse Kelly Rather at (214) 780-3320. 
All student families at Hyer Elementary School were notified by email about one (1) lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 that impacts the campus. The case involves a staff member assigned to University Park Elementary who spent at least part of the Aug. 18 workday at Hyer. Those determined to be potentially exposed have been notified. The staff member will remain off-campus for up to 10 days to prevent any further spread. Because of privacy requirements, the name of the individual will not be released. 
All student families at Hyer Elementary School were notified by email that there is one (1) lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 involving a student. The individual was on campus August 24 and will remain off-campus for up to 10 days. Because of privacy requirements, the name of the individual will not be released.
