Planning and preparation for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year are already underway as the district prepares to welcome all students back to campuses August 18 for in-person instruction. Remote virtual instruction will not be available in the fall. The decision for all HPISD students to attend classes in person on district campuses during the upcoming school year is predicated by the positive development of high vaccination and low transmission rates of COVID-19 within the communities served by Highland Park ISD.
Masks and face coverings are now, and will continue to be with the start of the school year, optional at all district campuses and facilities for class and other events. Please know individuals are always welcome to wear a mask or face covering at all HPISD facilities.
New student enrollment is now open
Online enrollment is available for new to district students entering grades K-12. All application information and forms are easy to complete using the HPISD online enrollment portal to securely upload documents and provide student information.

Returning students Back to School Sign Up opens July 29
Back to School Sign Up allows parents a convenient one-stop-shop to provide important information to HPISD, its PTA/PTOs, and other support organizations while submitting important proof of residency documents and verifying student information.
Back to School Sign Up (BSSU) for the 2021-22 school year for all returning students is July 29-August 6. It can be completed anywhere in the world using a phone, iPad or computer and is accessible 24 hours a day. Log in to the BSSU system using the parent's Skyward username and password. In July, HPISD will mail instructions to each returning family household in the district on how to complete Back to School Sign Up. The instructions, including your Skyward username, will arrive in a bright pink envelope via U.S. Mail. Letters are mailed to the most recent address on file.
