Fine Arts
Highland Park ISD’s Fine Arts curriculum is rooted in TEKS and designed to cultivate creativity, confidence, and artistic expression from an early age. Through music, visual arts, theatre, speech, debate, dance, and media arts, students engage in sequential, standards-based learning that encourages both technical skill and creative exploration. From elementary classrooms to advanced high school programs, students are given opportunities to perform, create, collaborate, and lead. HPISD students regularly earn All-State honors, receive recognition in regional and national competitions, and continue their fine arts studies at colleges and universities across the country. Many graduates have gone on to pursue careers in music, theatre, film, design, and the arts. Fine Arts plays an important role in developing well-rounded students by fostering creativity, discipline, communication, and confidence.
