Priorities & Objectives

During the fall of 2023, the Board of Trustees engaged in a thoughtful and collaborative strategic planning process to guide Highland Park ISD over the next five years. This work included refining the district’s mission and vision, reaffirming its motto, and establishing a clear set of shared beliefs that reflect the values of the HPISD community.

In December 2023, the Board unanimously approved the Strategic Plan Balanced Scorecard, which outlines the district’s key priorities and objectives moving forward. This framework serves as the foundation for our work and our vision for every student and staff member—grounded in a commitment to excellence, innovation, and belonging.

At its core, the plan reflects what we believe: that students are at the center of every decision, that sustained excellence requires continuous improvement, and that strong schools are built through partnership with families and the community. It provides a clear roadmap to ensure HPISD continues to deliver an exceptional, well-rounded education while preparing students to lead and serve with integrity.
