BACKGROUND

The Assistant Superintendent of Business Services is Dr. Ben Coker. He came to HPISD in July 2001. Prior to joining the District, Ben served as Assistant Superintendent of General Administration and Business Services of Goose Creek CISD in Baytown, Texas. Prior to that he served as Assistant Superintendent of Business/Finance at Paris ISD. "He has a strong reputation in the state and is known for being a creative, out-of-the-box thinker. His ability to look at school finance issues with a new eye will be a great benefit to the district. He has been quite influential with the legislature and that close working relationship with key legislators is critical to our financial future. Since he also has a teaching background, he has a full appreciation of classroom needs," said Dr. Bryce.
